First, the artist will wipe your lips and the surrounding area of your mouth with an alcohol wipe to sanitize the area. And then if you're a model, they'll take your before picture.
Then the artist will begin outlining your lips with either a pencil, inked string or pmu concealer. (Lip shape correction if needed).
Then the artist will apply numbing cream to the lips. And while you're waiting for the numbing cream to set in for 20 - 25 minutes, your artist will mix up your approved pigment shade.
Once the tattooing is complete, the artist will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing. This may include advice on cleaning, moisturizing, and avoiding certain activities or products. (Model aftercare picture may be taken).
A follow-up appointment needs to be scheduled to check the healing progress and touch up any areas that need additional color or correction.
